7 charged for attempted murder
Group appear in Dundee Magistrates Court.
Six men and a juvenile have been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, malicious damage to property and housebreaking with intent.
Mbawula Khuzwayo (23), Mcebisi Khumalo (21), Mlindeli
Khuzwayo (24), Musawenkosi Langa (36), Siphamandla Shange (28), Mdoni Zuma (25) and a minor are accused of beating suspected cattle thief, Sphesihle Zulu (25).
They made their first appearance before the Dundee Magistrate’s Court yesterday, where they opted to conduct their own defence and the juvenile sought legal council.
The case was remanded for September 14 for further investigation, legal aid and bail application.
The six men will remain in custody and the juvenile was released into the custody of a guardian.
