Efforts to revive him failed after he red-lined a second time

A doctor at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital, Doctor Badat, collapsed in his rooms at the hospital this morning.

Attempts to resuscitate him by staff and fellow doctors succeeded. He was being prepped to be moved to ICU when he again red-lined. Efforts to revive him failed and the doctor was declared dead.

Funeral boards are out, with the body leaving his home at 5.30pm for Janza Namaaz after Magrib.

An official press release by the hospital will be released tomorrow.
