Shortly after midday, a biker lost control of his Suzuki motorbike while going around a corner in Poort Road. Emergency services and paramedics responded and arrived within minutes.

The biker did not appear to be seriously injured, but was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

The bike was badly damaged.
