3 burnt to death in N11 crash (Warning: graphic content)

3 people lost their lives after a Nissan X-Trail crashed on the N11 early this morning (Saturday).

There were 3 people in the vehicle, 2 adults and a child, and they were all burnt to death.

The vehicle was travelling towards Newcastle when it crashed into the S-Bridge, going through the bridge and landing upside down on the railway lines below. The Nissan caught alight and was completely destroyed in the fire.

Police, RTI, EMRS and the Ladysmith Fire Department responded to the scene. Firefighters put out the blaze.

Traffic flow passed the scene with caution.
