LHS learner first in Accounting Olympiad

It was his first time participating and he was ecstatic at doing so well

Grade 12 Ladysmith High School (LHS) pupil Minenhle Mthembu is over-the-moon after coming first in the recent SAIPA National Accounting Olympiad.

Accounting as a subject is intended to serve as a springboard for learners entering commerce and industry, as well as for those who intend furthering their studies at post-matric level.

Minenhle is the first male in KZN to achieve such outstanding results. It was his first time participating and he was ecstatic at finishing first.

Other LHS pupils also participated in the Olympiad.

Minenhle loves Accounting and is determined to do very well in his matric and further his studies thereafter. He plans to study a B.Com Accounting degree.

“I would really like to thank my principal, teachers and mum for all their help and support. I wouldn’t have done this without you guys,” he smiles.
