Club brings new life to Newcastle
The Newcastle Garden Club will be launched at the R34 Memel Road entrance to Newcastle, and the community is invited to celebrate from 10am.

The Newcastle Garden Club will be launched at the R34 Memel Road entrance to Newcastle, and the community is invited to celebrate from 10am.
Residents are urged to bring their own chair and drinks.
Co-founder and garden enthusiast, Hugh Robb explained members will plant trees and flowers to celebrate the occasion, with maintenance from the Parks Department.
Businesses and residents are invited to donate plants to the project.
The wish list includes:
Agapanthus, Natal cheesewood trees, compost, fertiliser 2.3.2, superphosphate, abelia Francis Mason.
“The Parks Department has already prepared the area for us, and will maintain the beds afterward. We really want to thank them for this.”
In addition, the garden club will try to identify areas for beautifying, ever six months.
