Phenomenal Women, phenomenal kindness

Since its inception in 2014, Phenomenal Women is dedicated to making a difference within the community.

Phenomenal Women started out as the Invisible Phenomenal Women Awards initiative, where the selfless work of women in Newcastle could be recognised.

While the awards initiative is still ongoing, it has morphed into something even deeper.

On Thursday, Sonja Luus, one of the co-founders, alongside Charlotte Devsaran, donated groceries, gifts for the teachers and second jewellery and toys to Esperanza Special Needs School.

“We also enjoyed some cake and tea with the teachers,” Mrs Luus said.

The donation was made possible through the kindness of women involved in the Phenomenal Women initiative.

Previous projects included a coin collection, and donating a percentage of the Phenomenal Women ticket sales to the school and buying groceries.
