Strelitzia conquers South African cultures

The Federation of Women’s Institutes in the Natal region recently hosted its annual congress.
About 120 women gathered and took part in various competitions. The theme of the event was South Africa – a rainbow nation.
Organisations were tasked with studying five cultures, while documenting their findings over a period of time.
The Strelitzia Women’s Institute of Newcastle scooped the first place spot in the adult education category.
The judges were impressed by the simple, yet effective approach taken by the team. Strelitzia’s project was referred to as a stunning piece of work.
“The content is excellent, with detailed text and selected illustrations,” read the judges’ report.
The teams also undertook to make special cushions for patients suffering with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Strelitzia aims to lighten the burden of others, while promoting prosperity and education among women in the community.
With philanthropy at the core of their being, they could not possibly go wrong.
