Toddler dies after falling into boiling water

A toddler died after suffering severe burns when she fell into a basin of boiling water.
Dannhauser police said the tragedy happened at about 4pm on Monday.
The child was taken to Madadeni Hospital for treatment but sadly passed away three days later.
“This is not the first incident of such nature where young children have suffered burns from boiling water,” said Sergeant Nyembe, Dannhauser police spokesman.
“We are again plead to the parents to look after their children by making sure that whenever they bath children they must first put cold water into the basin before the boiling water . Children must also always be supervised when they are washing themselves,” Sergeant Nyembe told the Courier.
