It’s a tradition at ML Sultan Estcourt Primary School for learners to write the Conquesta exam on an annual basis. Learners are not only exposed to a variety of questioning techniques, but also get an opportunity to test their knowledge and skills.
This year learners enrolled for English Home Language, Maths and Life Skills.
The following learners excelled: In grade one Alwande Radebe got 85 percent for Mathematics. Ayabonga Thwala from grade two got the highest mark in Maths – 95 percent and English – 90 percent.
The following grade three learners must be commended for their outstanding performance in Maths, obtaining 92 percent – Sthandokuhle Zondo, Mpilenhle Gumede, Vuyiswa Mhkiza and Mawane Mthimkhulu.
In grade five the following learners obtained outstanding results:
Aphiwe Masondo – 80 percent in English 1, Sinenhlanhla Shongwe 74 percent, Sakhile Hadebe 86 percent and Amahle Mabaso 70 percent.
