Take time to care for one another

Take care of each other in 2016, this reader pleads

Sir
There is something very strange happening in this country.
People are not tolerant anymore. We need to revert back to 1994 and 2010 to re-discover some of that rainbow spirit – remember when all cars had a flag on the aerial?
People just need to drop down a gear, take a breath, take in the view and think before they talk, write or act. Be considerate. Do not litter the parks. Do not play your music so loud it will irritate others.
Respect each other. Be kind. This may sound very soppy but so be it. We need to take the time to care. I am sure everyone had some lofty resolutions to be better in 2016. Well, let’s do it together.
For the sake of all our sanity.
