Robbers target another business
The robbers made off with two Hilti breakers valued at R19 000 each.
ANOTHER local business was targeted by robbers in town this week.
The staff members of BO’s Plant and Tool Hire were not woken up by their normal alarm clocks on Monday morning. Instead, security company, Pro5, alerted them that their business in Stretch Crescent had been broken into.
According to one of the staff members, this is the third time the business has been broken into in the past two months.
“The first time, they broke in through one of the front windows and stole two weed-cutters and two chain saws,” said Erica Jansen.
The second time, they made off with four wheels from a car that was parked at Silverton Radiators, a business right next to BO’s, as well as four wheels from a trailer that was parked at the BO’s backyard.
This time, the villains made off with two Hilti breakers valued at R19 000 each.
They used a saw to cut through one of the burglar guards at BO’s and climbed through the window using a drum they found in the yard.
It is suspected that they then crawled across the floor to where the tools were, grabbed what they needed and took off.
