Four confirmed to have suffered serious injuries in SUV/truck crash

The Dundee/Vryheid road was obstructed following the collision,

Four people have been confirmed to have suffered serious injuries in this morning’s crash on the R33, between Dundee and Vryheid, between a truck and a SUV.

The injured were all occupants of the SUV.  Robert McKenzie, EMRS spokesman said, Paramedics from the Department of Health’s Emergency Medical Service and a local private ambulance service responded to the crash, which left the road completely obstructed.

“Paramedics worked together to treat the patients. The patients have been transported to hospitals in Vryheid and Newcastle for continued medical care.”

The exact cause of the crash is being investigated by the police.
