A warning from the SAPS

THE Vryheid SAPS are taking crime prevention very seriously and one way of doing such is by issuing warnings to community members on different issues that might affect them.

One such matter is the increasing number of house break-ins in Bhekuzulu.

According to Captain Sherryl Venter, the SAPS have attended to various cases of house break-ins in the past few weeks.

“Most of these occur during the day when people are at work,” said Captain Venter.

Community members are warned to be extra careful in ensuring their homes are locked before leaving for work everyday.

Captain Venter also pointed out that the suspects often approach the targeted houses asking for water or work in order to see whether anyone is home.
