What happened to the road repair project?

THERE is no word on how far the project which was set to patch up the streets of vryheid went last year.

As can be seen on some roads that are badly affected by potholes such as Park Street, the project did not go far.

The potholes in Park Street are just some that motorists have had to swerve from on a regular basis.

According to one resident, these are particularly dangerous due to the largest one being at the very corner of the road.

“A person could easily bump into you while turning into the street and trying to avoid the pothole at the same time,” said the resident who did not want to be named.

The AbaQulusi municipality was contacted with regards to the road repair project but to no avail.
