Well-known police officer passes away
The cause of death is suspected to be a heart attack
Warrant Officer Mervyn Pillay passed away this afternoon (Tuesday).
He was at home when he started to feel ill. Sharaj Ambulance Services rushed him to La Verna Hospital and he was placed in ICU, where he later passed away.
The cause of death is suspected to be a heart attack.
Officer Pillay was a humble and kind person who took crime-fighting seriously in the interests of seeing justice prevail.
Condolences to the family in this trying time.
