Community events in Vryheid this July and August

Support local fundraising and sport at two upcoming community events in Vryheid.

July 25 – SAVF Basaar
The SAVF Jubileum hosts its annual basaar from 09:00 at 82 Afrikaner Street. Visitors can enjoy homemade treats, boerewors rolls, vetkoek, pancakes, potjiekos, curry and rice, tea garden refreshments, plants, arts and crafts, and entertainment for children. The community is invited to support the fundraiser, with all proceeds going towards the organisation’s care of the elderly.

August 8 and 9 – Rooi Dlame Soccer Tournament
The Rooi Dlame Soccer Tournament takes place at Vryheid Landbou School on August 8 and 9, with matches starting at 09:00 each day. Teams wishing to participate must register before August 3, with only 16 teams being accommodated. The official tournament draw takes place on August 5. Spectators can also enjoy a curtain-raiser match between Xavi Best 11 and the AbaQulusi Municipality Legends. For more information, contact Rooi Dlame on 082 675 9011 or Bongwe on 072 870 8150.
