Great changes for Ward 13
IN AN ATTEMPT to bring better service to the people and reduce more strikes and marches taking place, Ward 13 contender for the councillor position Mkhanyiseni Mhlongo held a community meeting.

IN AN ATTEMPT to bring better service to the people and reduce the number of strikes and marches taking place, community leader Mkhanyiseni Mhlongo, held a community meeting.
At the meeting, which was held on Sunday at the Emadoshini area in Bhekuzulu, various community issues were raised and together, community members worked towards getting solutions.
“Although we expected to have major water issues due to the burst pipe, which affected various areas, such as Sasko and Bhekuzulu, the municipality ensured that enough water was supplied to these areas without any trouble and we are glad to announce that the water supply has returned today,” Mr Mhlongo said.
Residents of Ward 13 were encouraged to register to vote this weekend, if they haven’s done so already.
“Community members are encouraged to double check that they have provided their correct addresses when registering, as this is what caused the Ward 13 by-elections to be postponed,” he said.
Issues such as the increase in burglaries crimes were also discussed.
A Community Policing Forum (CPF) was elected and will be patrolling the streets during the day when this crime is most likely to occur.
Going forward, Mr Mhlongo said that he was hoping that they would work well together as the Ward 13 community to make the area they live in a better place.
