There are at least 8-million eligible voters who are currently not registered to vote in the coming local government elections

President Jacob Zuma announced yesterday Wednesday, April 7 that the 2016 local government elections will be held on August 3.

There are at least 8-million eligible voters who are currently not registered to vote in the coming local government elections‚ and 80% of them are younger than 30-year-old and some first-time voters.

“We urge all those who are eligible to vote, register to vote and those who have not checked their names to do so on Saturday and Sunday this weekend so that together we continue to re-affirm and deepen our democracy‚” said President Zuma.
