AFTER a minor setback following the lack of a roadmilling machine, the rehabilitation process on Utrecht Street is now in full swing.
Although some of the business owner’s in the street voiced their worries after the numerous glitches that arose prolonging the process, Thembalethu Civils said that they have nothing to worry about.
The program will be carried out over a 10-week period starting from the Deputation Street intersection and heading down to East Street.
The rehabilitation will involve the removal and replacement of existing sub-surface layer works, storm water drainage, kerbs and asphalt, and the renewal of all road markings.
If all goes according to plan, community members and business owners can expect things to be back to normal in Utrecht Street by the end of June.
