Studying the art of ‘statueing’

At the end of the module they dress up as a famous person, as if they are going to be a wax statue in a museum

As part of their Dramatic Arts syllabus in grade eight, the Treverton pupils do a module on ‘statues’.

They explore what statues are for, made of and where the more famous ones can be found. They also look at street theatre and the art of ‘statueing’.

At the end of the module they dress up as a famous person, as if they are going to be a wax statue in a museum. Some of the staff is invited to come and view the ‘statues’ and try to guess who each one is meant to be.
