10km run for young and old
The younger participants who were brave enough to take on the distance set off at 10am, while the more mature athletes started at 10.30am

A large group of enthusiastic runners gathered at Settlers Park yesterday (Saturday) to take on a 10km run.
The event, which was called ’10km run for young and old’, was held by the Department of Sport & Recreation.
The younger participants who were brave enough to take on the distance set off at 10am, while the more mature athletes started at 10.30am.
The route saw the runners leave Settlers Park, head along the bypass, past 5SAI army camp and San Marco Centre, down Poort Road into Settlers Drive and all the way back to Settlers Park.
There were tired muscles for sure, but everyone stayed strong and made it to the finish line, where the participants received trophies for their efforts.
