Ladysmith Gazette stand at the Show

#LadysmithShow2016 and win on either Instagram or Twitter

The Ladysmith Gazette will be hosting an indoor stand as part of our “Giving back to the Community” drive.

We will be hosting numerous fun giveaways and competitions throughout the three days.

We will also have a photo booth charging R10 per photo, enabling the lucky winner to have their photo on the front page of a special wrap-around in the following edition of the newspaper.

Everyone who enters will automatically have a small photo of themselves in the wrap-around, which should be considered a collector’s piece.

Also see full-time demonstrations of our online site in action.

A ‘selfie’ competition will be uploaded onto our site, with the lucky winner winning three fantastic hampers. Plus, if you mention Brendan Peyper in your selfie post, you could win a one-on-one chat with him. Hashtag #LadysmithShow2016 on either Instagram or Twitter. (Important note: if your Instagram is set to private, we will not see your selfie and you cannot win)

A ‘spot the mistake’ competition will see one winner winning a stunning food hamper.

But the most important thing is a chance to meet our young and dynamic teams from the Ladysmih Gazette, Times of Ladysmith, NKZN AgriEco, Uthukela Eyethu and NKZN Get It!

Our History:

The Ladysmith Gazette is the only sold local newspaper in Ladysmith.

The Ladysmith Gazette is just over a century old and is believed to have been established in 1902. This, however, cannot be accurately verified, as there may have been editions before this date.

The Ladysmith Gazette is part of the Caxton Group of newspapers.

The Ladysmith Gazette’s sister newspaper, the Times of Ladysmith, is a FREE door-to-door publication that helps the Ladysmith Gazette reach the entire community.

With a staggering six Caxton Awards for excellence under its belt, few could argue that the Ladysmith Gazette is not the market leader in the region.

Awards aside, the newspaper focuses on its core strength: the ability to communicate what is happening in and around Ladysmith. Since its inception over 100 years ago, it has kept people abreast of local news.

From school news to hard news, the Ladysmith Gazette has constantly kept the community informed.
