Local businesses join municipality to help needy family who suffered tragedy

Bringing a ray of light to poverty-stricken family who lost their little girl

In a year where bad news has overwhelmed good news, today well-known local spin-driver, Preshu Singh, co-ordinated a group of business people together to donate groceries to a family who last week tragically lost their six-year-old daughter, Slindokuhle Khoza.

She was sick for some time leaving her poverty-stricken grandmother alone in her mud hut at Kunene farm, adjacent to Sibongile.

Preshu,  the twin Zwane brothers and municipal officials – including acting municipal manager, BC Zulu, and Mandla Moloi – manager in the Mayor’s office – banded together to today sympathise with the Khoza family and to present the groceries.

The donation also covers the cost of the funeral service which will be held tomorrow at Kunene farm.

Slindo was a learner at Elivangeli School.
