There was another farm murder in the Luneberg/Paulpietersberg area last night.  First reports said a 75-year-old man, identified at this stage only as Mr Filter, was shot in the head in front of his daughter when an assailant entered their home last night.

There was a struggle after which Mr Filter was shot by the attacker who then fled.  An intensive police investigation is continuing.  More details when these become available.

This follows on from last month’s attack on a farm in the Geluckstadt area where   Billy van Rooyen (37) , died after he was attacked.
His father in law Ronnie Lombard  (62) died after succumbing to a bullet wound in the back.
