Help bodybuilder meet Arnold

"I have been working towards this milestone for weeks on end. To be able to attend the competition would be a dream come true,"

Local International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) athlete, Teresa Nel has been training for the past five years, aspiring to be the best in the field.

Her goal is to compete in the IFBB Provincial Tournament in August, and to ultimately become a member of the South African team, and compete internationally.

As a stepping stone towards that dream, Teresa has her heart set on competing in the Arnold Classic Africa Tournament on May 27.

The Arnold Classic Africa (ACA) is an annual multi-sport event and expo. It features 45 events, with more than 10 800 participants over three days. This event is named after the legendary, professional bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will also be attending the prestigious event.

Promoters of ACA, Wayne and Michelle Price, said it was every South African athlete’s dream to compete on an international stage.

Teresa recently took part in the King Shaka Classic tournament in Durban, where she was selected to represent South Africa in ACA.

Competing in the international tournament costs about R15 000, and she now appeals to Newcastillians for financial help.

“I have been working towards this milestone for weeks on end. To be able to attend the competition would be a dream come true,” she concluded.

To donate towards her dream, Teresa can be contacted on 084 679 6025.
