Jani was born and brought up in Pakistan. He then moved to Durban, where he has been living for 16 years. He is married with three children; two girls and a boy.
Ever since he himself was a little boy, he always wanted to be a famous singer. He would sing at school concerts, as well as to friends and family, on the road to becoming the star he is today.
He then formed a band called ‘Vishnu Entertainers’ that goes with him everywhere to perform. The band mainly focuses on Bollywood songs.
When a Ladysmith Gazette journalist asked if this was the first time he had visited Ladysmith, he smiled and said, “No, I have been to Ladysmith a few times for other shows.”
He was impressed with the Ladysmith Show and the friendly community of Ladysmith. “I had a lovely time here at the Ladysmith Show. The people were all good company and I am hoping to visit Ladysmith again soon,” said Jani.
