Film crew in town
The crew travels all around the world, visiting places and interviewing people with the intention of reaching more Islamic viewers

X CON FILMS visited Ladysmith on Tuesday morning to shoot a documentary about Islam.
Their production, called An-Mur, is aired every Saturday on SABC 3 at 6pm. The crew is from Cape Town.
This production shows and teaches the history of Islam, and the different countries that are significant to Islam.
The crew travels all around the world, visiting places and interviewing people with the intention of reaching more Islamic viewers.
The crew visited Ladysmith and met up with Mr Iqbal Khan. Mr Khan showed them all the historic places in Ladysmith and highlighted their symbolic history as well. This is the first time the crew has been to Ladysmith – they were surprised and pleased at how friendly the people of Ladysmith are.
“I really love this town and the friendly people, as well as how neat the place is,” said assistant producer Roxanne Harris.
After shooting their documentary with Mr Khan, they visited Mr Bemaat and had a quick shoot with him as he prepared his favourite dish.
After a busy and entertaining day, they enjoyed a hot meal and left for Johannesburg for more filming.
