AIRSHOW: The final countdown begins
The wheels are up on June 4, when the airshow takes flight.
Mark the date – June 4 sees the return of the Newcastle Airshow.
The skies above Newcastle will soon play host to the largest and most anticipated airshow in KwaZulu-Natal, featuring the likes of Menno Parsons in the P51 Mustang Sally, the Aero L-39 Albatros and the South African Air Force (SAAF) Silver Falcons Team 79.
Team 79 arrives in Newcastle on May 29, kicking off its tour by visiting schools in the area.
“The Silver Falcons are one of the major attractions at this year’s Airshow,” said Johan Pieters, MD of Champ Marketing. “We are honoured to be one of a few events affiliated to this prestigious team and the SAAF.”
Visitors to the airshow can look forward to action in the sky, and plenty of entertainment, including food stalls and a beer garden, at ground level.
“From vehicle exhibitions to some of the most exciting planes in the country, right down to toddler’s haircuts and pampering for mom, you can find it all at the Newcastle Airshow.”
Tickets are available at the gates from 8am, and cost R50 per adult and R30 for pupils.
