Bikers help children’s home

The event aims to collect desperately needed items for the home, such as bedding, crockery and warm winter pyjamas - things all of us take for granted

On Thursday, June 16, a group of bikers will be hosting a charity run for Môrester Children’s Home. The event aims to collect desperately needed items for the home, such as bedding, crockery and warm winter pyjamas – things all of us take for granted.

The bikers will meet at the Harrismith BP Garage at around 9am for a body-warming cup of coffee, generously donated by the owners of the garage.

They will then depart and travel to Môrester for a quick “show off” with the children before travelling to Bingalela near Bergville for lunch.

The bikers have the support of the Public Safety Department, who will direct traffic at various points where the motorbikes will cross or enter roads.

Bikers from throughout Northern KZN will be attending and even non-bikers driving their motor vehicles have indicated that they will accompany the run.
