Local artists perform on TV

Suresh and his group were invited to a music video shoot when the team covered the Northern Natal region

Local band Ladysmith Bhakthi Sangeet has appeared on TV on a Hindu magazine programme called The Inward Path.

The Inward Path is a show that is broadcast every Sunday at 6.30am on SABC 3.

The show says it has a responsibility to promote and preserve the Hindu religion, as well as enlighten and educate the greater South African community of this ancient tradition. “We also see it as our responsibility to help promote local artists and musicians, such as Ladysmith Bhakthi Sangeet, in South Africa.”

Suresh and his group were invited to a music video shoot when the team covered the Northern Natal region. “This was another positive, as it highlighted our country’s talent in the outlying areas as well,” said the team.

The programme’s viewership has evidently responded positively to the inclusion of Ladysmith Bhakthi Sangeet and other local artists on the programme.
