MUST READ: Will Newcastle get snow soon?

Will Newcastle potentially see snow by the end of this week?

As winter sets in and the days get colder, it seems Newcastillians can expect a chilly weekend ahead.

Snow Report SA has issued a warning of a potentially disruptive weather system, which is set to begin in the Western Cape on Thursday night, June 9.

According to the report, if the weather charts remain consistent with its current findings, disruptive snowfalls are possible in not only the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State and Lesotho, but KwaZulu-Natal as well, as of Friday, June 10.

In its statement, Snow Report SA said snowfalls are expected to continue throughout Friday and end late on Saturday in KZN.

Snow Report SA will be monitoring the weather, but warn the forecast may change as the week progresses, as the path and intensity of the weather system establishes itself.
