Esmé celebrates her 90th birthday
She has three children and her eldest daughter is now 73 years old!

Esmé Dedericks celebrated her 90th birthday on May 24. Esmé says she is thankful to the Lord that she has been blessed with good health and the strength to see so many years with her family and friends.
She had seven siblings and is the only one still alive. Born and brought up in Ladysmith, she can speak English, Afrikaans and Zulu. As you can imagine, this has allowed her to make friends across the culture spectrum.
Esmé has three children and her eldest daughter is now 73 years old! Her husband sadly passed away 10 years ago.
She loves sewing and is excellent at crocheting, commenting that she is able to crochet whatever catches her eye.
“I love the company of adults and children. I am very blessed and thankful to the Lord for his strength and guidance throughout my 90 years on this earth,” says Esmé.
Her family and friends threw her a lovely birthday party at Juana Maria Old Age Home, where she had memorable time with them, as well as the kind and friendly staff and management of the old age home.
