Lasec reaches out to those in need

Friday’s initiative saw 80 much-needed lunch packs being distributed among residents of the RDP scheme

A team of educators from Ladysmith Secondary School (Lasec) once again reached out to the community when they visited Inkanyezi Special Needs School on Tuesday last week and the local RDP housing scheme situated in the Acaciavale area on Friday. Inkanyezi learners were treated to some delicious hot soup, once again prepared and sponsored by the Royal Hotel.

This partnership between Lasec and the Royal Hotel is proving to be beneficial to members of the community who are most in need.

Friday’s initiative saw 80 much-needed lunch packs being distributed among residents of the RDP scheme.

The success of this drive must be attributed to key individuals who have pledged their support and dedication: Mr and Mrs Lee (Royal Hotel), in memory of the late Matilda Chinnah, Al-Imdaad Foundation and the co-ordinators who have worked hand-in-hand to extend this gesture of humanity.

If individuals know of an organisation or area that would benefit from this outreach programme, they are urged to contact Mr K Bihaspat or Miss D Govender on 036-633-0218.
