The Estran family were first to donate after a Blood Bank campaign was set up by the SANBS for schools recently.
The campaign stated that if a parent donated blood, then the child would receive a gift. Children were excited to see what their gift would be, as their parents supported the campaign.
Dad Lee Estran is proud to be a regular blood donor.
For mother Chantal, it was her first time and now she is determined to continue.
Lee, who has donated before, told the Ladysmith Gazette that donating blood is a cause he strongly believes in.

“I want to save a life and we, as a family, believe that donating blood is the right thing to do. We will not stop,” says Chantal.
