Well done to club members who made the effort to exhibit vintage tractors, stationary engines and implements, with specific mention going to the 1926 Robey industrial engine with a flywheel of six feet in diameter.

 

Facts and figures pertaining to the 2016 Car Show: Vehicles on display – approximately 250 (including modern vehicles), Pre-WWII vehicles (Pre-1940) – 47 (43 owned by VVCC members), four Ford Model T’s (Pre-1930). It is worth noting that there are 10 Model T’s currently owned by VVCC members. A notable mention should go to the 1909 EMF that was on display.

VVCC’s grateful thanks go to: All visitors and supporters for your enthusiasm in sharing in the vehicles of yesteryear and fellowship, the Suid-Oos NG Church for providing the meals and niceties for the day, we understand that the sales were a reflection of the day’s attendance, and John Kitching, once again, for his running commentary and announcements throughout the duration of the show.

 

Thanks also to the stall owners, 26 in all, who brought a variety of interests to the show, Vryheid Hospice for managing the gate control in High Street.
