High school friends get together after 40 years

One of the educators even read out a register and the 'students' had to make sure the teacher heard them say, "Present, sir"

Windsor Secondary School’s ‘Class of 1976’ held a 40-year matric reunion last night (Friday) at Mount View Lodge, where the ex-pupils enjoyed the company of not just their friends but their educators as well.

The evening started off with the ladies and gentlemen having some time to ‘catch up’ before the programme began. The programme for the evening featured fun activities that took everybody back to their final year at school.

One of the educators even read out a register (roll call) and the ‘students’ had to make sure the teacher heard them say, “Present, sir”.

An identification game that led to a walk on the red carpet was played, showing pictures of what everyone looked like back in high school. This resulted in much amusement all round!

Speeches, on the other hand, brought tears to some of the ex-Windsorians’ eyes and a symbolic lighting of candles paid tribute to those who have since passed on.

40 years after matriculating, these not-so-young high school students had a really beautiful evening!
