Dundee give Vryheid a golf lesson

The Dundee team enjoys the success. Find out how.

A great all round team performance by the Dundee A team saw them hand the highly rated Vryheid team a golf lesson in Sunday’s league match played at Newcastle, wining 14 – 4.
Coming off two consecutive loses in the league, the Dundee golfers showed their true capabilities as all three pairings won their foursome matches in the morning. After lunch only two players were unable to win their singles match, which saw Joe Khumalo 7/6, Jurie Engelbrecht 6/5, Sifiso Kunene 5/3 and Shakeel Kalideen 4/3 all recording convincing victories over their opponents.
Unfortunately, they were the only Dundee team to enjoy success in Sunday’s league matches as the B”1″ team went down 6-12 to Ladysmith, the B”2″ lost by the same margin to Vryheid while the Frogs team lost 0-6 to Vryheid.
Saturday’s club competition, played in the bonus bogey format, saw a relatively small field of golfers taking part which was won by Club Captain Marc Bradbury on +4, managing to count out Richard Catlett who also finished on +4.
This coming weekend fixtures are, Friday afternoon 10 Hole Meat Competition and Saturday’s club competition will be played in the popular 4 BBBS format.
