Today is World Population Day
The day is celebrated to increase people's awareness of worldwide population issues

Today, World Population Day is being celebrated all over the world.
World Population Day is an international awareness campaign that calls on people to provide answers for the “population explosion” year by year.
This awareness event aims to bring about a population revolution, globally, and help to combat the very serious problem of over-population in the world.
The day is celebrated to increase people’s awareness of worldwide population issues and was first started in the year 1989 by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
People started to wake up and take notice when the global population neared about five billion on July 11, 1987.
Family planning, it seems, has become more important for a sustainable planet!
