Dry taps as water-shedding comes into effect
High-lying areas - including Hyde Park and Observation Hill - were among the areas affected by this morning's water cuts
With the ever-worsening drought situation enforcing water cuts in Ladysmith, some areas in town woke up to dry taps with no running water this morning (Thursday).
uThukela District Municipality issued an announcement yesterday that water-shedding would be coming into effect.
From today, the pumps will be switched on between 4pm and 9pm daily (times are subject to change).
The affected areas are as follows: Ladysmith CBD, Observation Hill, Mkhamba Gardens, Modelkloof, Limit Hill, Danskraal Industrial, Roosboom, parts of St Chad’s and parts of Steadville.
