Razack Ismail: The champion of champions
The Glencoe Angling Club committee elected.

Glencoe Angling Club, which is an affiliate of the Northern Natal Fresh Waters Angling Association, held their annual general meeting on Monday, August 3 at ML Sultan Glencoe Secondary School. The following were successfully nominated to the Executive Committee for the year 2016/2017: Chairman is Mohamed Saleem Abdool and the vice chairman is Razak Khan. The secretary is Waseem Hoffese, with Hussain Syed as a records clerk. In charge of finances is Rafique Dawood Hoffese and the captain is Shahid Hoffese.
Members express sincere thanks to all officials and its members for their support in 2015/2016 and wish the current executive committee a successful term of office for the new season. It also wishes to place on record its sincere thanks and appreciation to all sponsors and well wishes for their generosity at all times.

On the day successful anglers were also honoured with awards for the 2016/2016 season.
The following were winners: The winner of the League Champions trophy, Raees Kajee, walked away with R500, winning by 15 points. He also received the KZN Department of Sports and Recreation floating trophy. The Champion of Champions trophy and R2 000 was won by Razack Ismail. He won by 20 points and was also handed the Hoosen Dawood Memorial trophy. He also won the ‘heaviest scale fish’ which weighed 2.79 kg. The heaviest non-scaled fish weighed 2,77kg and the winner, Razak Khan, was awarded R1 000 and the Ebees Express floating trophy. The Doubles Knock-Out Champion trophy winners were Shahid Hoffese and Waseem Hoffese (30 points) (This was the Abdool’s family trust floating trophy).
