Diwali Show to light the way to Festival of Lights

RICHVIEW – The Newcastle Diwali Show is one of the biggest cultural events on the Newcastle calendar.

As Diwali holds a deep symbolic meaning of good over evil, the Diwali Show is set to light the way to Festival of Lights.

The show will be taking place on October 15 at the Richview Civic Hall.

Embracing the Hindu culture, the show will offer Newcastillians the opportunity to enjoy a day of cultural vibrancy.

A show band from Durban, as well as local performers, will entertain visitors to the show..

For car enthusiasts, there will be a car sound-off.

Plans are under way and the committee wants to dedicate the first portion of the day to religious and community organisations.

The committee will meet on August 22 at the Suryaville Temple from 6pm, to discuss the details of the upcoming event. Religious and community organisations are invited.
