Wimpy and Nicky are leaving Eden
Wimpy used this opportunity to introduce the new owners, Mariëtte and Attie de Lange, and wished them all the best with their future endeavours at Eden Playschool.
Wimpy and Nicky Wheeler purchased and took over Eden Playschool, on Victoria Street, in 2009 when it had only 36 children in attendance. Nicky had two helpers then, but today they have seven personnel members and 150 children.
The school was put up for sale, as Wimpy and Nicky have plans to relocate. Nicky told the Courier she would like to thank and commend her current personnel, Dudu, Stefani, Sindi, Hlengi, Lorraine, Jenny and Nastasia for their boundless contribution to the care of these children.
She also singled out the local community and the parents for their excellent contribution to the success of the school, and she likes to remember one incident as a token of her work, when a former scholar told her how he is doing well in school now, and also introduced her to his parents as “teacher.”
