President Zuma attends funeral

Qethu Mdluli was an ANC member and a close friend of the president for many years

President Jacob Zuma attended the funeral of the late Qethu Mduli which was held at Mhlumayo Kwa Mteyi on Saturday.

Qethu Mdluli was an ANC member and a close friend of the president for many years.

MEC Willies Mchunu, together with leaders from the ANC Okhahlamba branch, also attended the funeral.

In his speech, President Jacob Zuma spoke at length of Mr Mduli’s commitment towards the ANC.

The president highlighted the fact that he was a friendly and helpful person to everyone who crossed his path, and he also had the courage to fight for the freedom of his country.

President Zuma excused himself from the funeral right after he had delivered his speech, as he had to attend a function in Pietermaritzburg. After the ceremony, lunch was provided for all who attended.
