Dressed in cultural clothing and dancing to traditional music, the staff gathered together to enjoy a wonderful celebration

The Department of Education celebrated Heritage Day today (September 23) at their head office in Murchison Street.

Dressed in cultural clothing and dancing to traditional music, the staff gathered together to enjoy a wonderful celebration.

“What we are doing here is very important. Not only should Heritage Day be celebrated on the specific day, it is something that should be commemorated throughout the year,” said employee Kay Kay Mkhize.

Wearing her Sesotho attire, Department of Education Acting District Director Mapaseka Mokeona stressed the importance of learning about different cultures, which this occasion promotes.
