IEC hosts fund-raiser dinner
The money raised from the tickets went towards the school fund
The Islamic Educational Centre (IEC) hosted a dinner last night (September 23) at the Civic Hall.
The money raised from the tickets went towards the school fund.
The turn-out was great and the event was about more than just raising money for the school, as the money donated will buy equipment for local doctors to go to Syria and treat some of the schoolchildren there.
Guest speaker Dr F Osman spoke about the harsh conditions in Syria and made everyone aware how bad the situation is.
The event was a huge success and was enjoyed by everyone.
