A new Miss Teen 2016 is crowned

The main event, Miss Teen 2016, was contested by four young lasses, who modelled in casual, traditional and evening wear for the panel of three judges

The stage was set at the Estcourt Town Hall on Saturday for the Miss Teen 2016 pageant. Friends, family and well-wishers gathered to support Siyabonga Msomi as he hosted another event aimed at keeping the youth off the streets and busy with constructive activities.
The audience was entertained with various dance groups that received thunderous applause and cheers.

The main event, Miss Teen 2016, was contested by four young lasses, who modelled in casual, traditional and evening wear for the panel of three judges.

The girls were judged on a list of criteria, which included confidence, smile, their outfits and their ability to answer the questions.
After much deliberation, the results were in – the Second Princess was Sinethemba Nyembe, First Princess Tamycei Rolls and amidst loud cheers, Andiswa Ziqubu was crowned Miss Teen 2016.

The event did not end there, an after party was thereafter held, which featured renowned musicians Joocy and Gukwa from Durban’s Afrotainment. “The musicians amazed everyone and local DJs were also well-promoted,” commented organiser Mr Msomi.
