Vryheid High celebrates cricket win and soccer victories
Vryheid High celebrates a cricket victory, strong soccer results and achievements across the school community.
On August 18, our cricket boys took on Ferrum High School. The first team boys enjoyed home-ground advantage and delivered an impressive performance, securing a four-wicket victory. Congratulations to the team on a well-deserved win!
U/15 boys gain valuable experience
The U/15 boys travelled to Ferrum to play their match away from home. Although they were unfortunately on the losing side, the boys gained valuable match experience and continued to develop their skills on the field. Well done to the team for giving it their all!
Soccer stars shine against St Dominics
On August 19, our soccer teams faced St Dominics in a series of exciting matches. Our players put in fantastic performances, with two teams securing convincing victories.
Soccer results:
First team girls won 6-2;
U/15 boys drew 1-1;
First team boys won 8-0.
Special congratulations to our first team boys on their outstanding 8-0 victory, and to the first team girls for their impressive 6-2 win. The U/15 boys also deserve recognition for fighting hard to secure a 1-1 draw.
Well done to all our soccer teams! We are proud of your commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship.
