Have your autism questions answered

Apart from a fun day for the family, Sunday, October 23 will also be a time when guest speakers share their expertise about autism

Seeking professional advice is essential when dealing with an unfamiliar illness and points one in the direction of diagnosis and treatment.

So, if you or someone you know is caring for someone who has autism, then the Kylie Braithwaite Trust Autism Awareness Family Day and Fundraiser could provide insight and answers.

Apart from a fun day for the family, Sunday, October 23 will also be a time when guest speakers share their expertise about autism.
Shelley Broughton is one of the guest speakers.

Shelley completed her Occupational Therapy degree in 1989 and her skills include neurodevelopmental therapy and sensory integration.
She first worked as an Occupational Therapist at Ghandi Road Rehabilitation centre where she was involved in setting up a general rehabilitation unit. Since then she has worked in private practice, primarily in paediatrics (neurological conditions).

Speech Therapist Avishana Sewrajan will also be present. She is a healthcare practitioner, specialising as in Speech Therapy and Audiology.

To book a ticket to attend the day’s activities, which will be held at the Ennersdale Sale Yards from 10.30am, email Lou Parsons on lynette@lima.org.za
