SANBS amazed with donor clinic support

The target was set at 69 pints of blood and 117 locals attended the donor clinic

The South African National Blood Services (SANBS) made a stop in town this past Thursday, October 13.

Donors waited eagerly for the SANBS team to commence the blood clinic and the support and turnout at the monthly bleed left both the SANBS team and the Clinic Co-ordinator, Mr S Dawoonarain blown away.

The target was set at 69, 117 locals attended the blood clinic, 113 pints of blood was collected, and four new donors were welcomed.
On Tuesday, October 11, 26 pints of blood was collected at Estcourt High School, three learners were new donors and 27 attended.

The Clinic Co-ordinator, Mr S Dawoonarain was impressed with the high figures at Estcourt Secondary School from Wednesday, October 12, as 45 students attended, 41 bled and 10 new blood buddies were welcomed to the worthy cause. The team thanks everyone who made this past monthly bleed a huge success.

Upcoming clinics for the next two months:
Thursday, November 10 from 11am to 6pm at the Estcourt Town Hall.
Thursday, December 8 from 11am to 6pm at the town hall.
